Hi Everybody

I tried searching and couldn't see anything so I'm asking and hoping...

Configuration:
MacBook (Intel 3100 video)
Apple 20" Cinema Display connected via DVI
OS:
- XP via Boot Camp
- OSX 10.5.5

Problem:
When booting to OSX, everything works fine and the video fills the screen as expected.

When booting to XP via boot camp, the display does not fill the screen. There is a large "margin" on every side about 2" on top/bottom and 3" on left/right. Nothing we do fills the screen!

Anyone have any ideas? It doesn't make sense and boot camp isn't supported so we can't get any official help.

Thanks a lot!

Rob

You can try adjusting your display settings in XP, that might help. Also, there might be an issue with the drivers for the display, you can try reinstalling them.

Thanks - I did that in a way. Goofed around with the Intel video settings, and while XP said it was one screen resolution, the Intel display adapter gave the ability to set a much higher resolution!

In the end, the solution was to go through the Intel panel but reduce to 16bit. If anyone can tell me why the 1680 x 1050 display from the macbook to the cinema display at 32bit is a wild squirrelly display, I'd love to hear it.

In the meantime, it is displaying.

Thanks for the suggestion, got me on the right track!
