I was using FMF on my iPhone 3GS and recently upgraded to an iPhone 4. Now after I put FMF on the phone it wants me to verify the account (even though I've used it before on a different device).

This wouldn't be a big deal except it is not being sent to me. I am using a GMail account and have already checked any kind of spam folder... it's simply not here.

Any ideas/fixes? A quick google search yielded me nothing.

I remember having to reset my apple id password to be able to use the app. I know my password was correct because I was still able to download apps but it wouldn't let me sign into the app. You could try this BUT I am not saying it would definitely help you out...just letting you know about an issue I had.

Let us know how it goes.

...sigh... I reset my Apple ID password (had to change the password because it won't let me use one I've used in the last year). And still no dice. Woohoo. Now I've got a password I don't really want and still no findmyfriends. haha... oh, apple...

----------

for what it's worth, i'm having the same issue with iCloud. it is forcing me to verify and again i'm getting no verification email.

i know my email address is setup correctly because when i change the itunes store password, apple sent me an email to my gmail account notifying me of the change.

Was there another email that you have on file as a "backup email"? It may be going to that email address. I have seen that happen before.

As for the findmyfriends app you could try deleting the app and redownloading it...AGAIN, just some thoughts...I am not sure if this will help you out but I hope it does. Sorry you're having these issues.

After a 2nd trip to the apple store and about a half hour of a genius troubleshooting it, we were able to get the email to send. Relieved to have the issue repaired, but I worry the issue wasn't really solved (if that makes sense).

That is very weird. I am glad that the genius bar was able to get that email to send and you are off and running like you should have been in the first place.

Hope it's clear sailing from here ;)
