I love most everything about my Airpods Pro but after several weeks of use I still haven't gotten used to the new way to control music. I loved the tap/double-tap of the original Airpods. I'm struggling with the squeezing. I generally have no problems with play/pause, it's more of an issue with the double squeeze for skip. Seems like when I want to skip I more often pause or even rewind. It's like you have to find the sweet spot and double squeeze not too fast and not too slow. I find it particularly frustrating when I'm running and especially when my fingers are cold. When I'm listening to Spotify I find myself going to the app to skip more than I used to. Anybody else?

You can go into settings and adjust the squeeze response time to faster or slower.

Yep, and I've played around with that but it doesn't seem to help. I'm guessing I'm in the minority here.

Over here
when out running I have been using Siri to skip tracks, seems to work fine for me. I don't have any issues appearing to talk to myself a lot though :)

I like the single squeezes well enough, but I can see how the fast double-squeezes could be difficult. Like others, I mostly control things by voice. I find Siri responds to these even at very low volumes.

Next time I'm out for a run I'll try using Siri instead. I'll probably find the delay to be annoying but the convenience factor might make up for it.
