After updating to iOS 5, a day later, I noticed that I was no longer receiving push notifications from almost every app. That is, I do receive them for texts, mail, and oddly enough "Words with Friends", but now I'm not getting any from "Sportacular," "CNN," "Facebook," "MLB," etc... I'm attempting a restore now, has anyone else had a similar problem?

I'm not trying to be a arse or anything, but did you verify how they are set up in Settings<Notifications?

I noticed that a few of mine were switched to "No Alert" in iOS5 but they had been set up to notify in iOS4.

They are turned on, badges, sounds, alerts, and I have it set to the notification center. I even tried uninstalling the apps and reinstalling them, however due to the new iCloud, the old settings came back instead of letting me set it up as a new app. This happened before with sportacular but the reinstall solved it.

Well my solution for sportacular was to switch to the ESPN app, so not the best way. As for CNN I was able to delete and reinstall
It and it seems to work, I got all the notifications about Gadhafi today. So really no, I didn't find a solution. Sorry
