Not receiving iOS Mail push notifications

I'm not receiving mail push notifications in iOS anymore. When I open Mail on my iPhone, heaps are pouring in, so I am getting the emails, but I'm not getting the usual notifications "on the fly", as I should.

This has actually been the case for quite some time. Say, about a months time. I have to check manually by opening the app.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help shed some light on this. Thanks!

I suppose you're using iCloud email? If so try to delete the iCloud account from the phone and then set it back up. If you're using another email service provider, what are you using?
Also check that you didn't turn off push by accident, I know it maybe strange but it can happen by accident.

Mine is working again but was out for several hours two days ago. I've had the same issue before (see thread) and thought I found the culprit at the time. May have been a coincidence.

Problem is also that Apple doesn't seem to acknowledge those kind of issue. I was basically told to just bag it and turn off push in favor of 15min pull intervals - giving the impression that push is really not an important feature in this day and age (it only worked just fine on my BB for the last several years)...

Mine still isn't working, has been with an Apple engineer for nearly 2 weeks and they've got nowhere with it. It's been 3 weeks since it stopped working, so I've had to switch to fetch (annoying as I use the account for business purposes!)

Giving it 1 more week, then I'm resigned to the fact it won't work and will have to switch to gmail

Mine worked for about a week and push notifications stopped again over night. Starting to wonder if this always happens on Sundays? Contacted rep who was working on this before to see what they can do for troubleshooting this.


Update: what makes this so evil is that it started working again without me ever getting a chance to have support test this while it was out...

It's ironic but it looks like I may really have to move to an email provider that has full MS Exchange support, pay up and call it a day. The benefit of which is that I could move back to Blackberry also...

How does that help? Gmail doesn't push either, does it?

Not through the standard mail app, but it does through the gmail app.
