Not receiving notifications on Watch after updating to PB2

If you're watch is still on 2.2 you might be SOL and hope it works again in a later build. iOS 10 is meant to run a watch with watchOS 3. So there just might be compatibility issues.
You can try un-pairing and then re-pairing the watch to see if that resolves it. But don't hold your breath.

It is actually the other way around. You can't use wOS3 with iOS9. As a AppleSeed tester we don't get wOS betas with our iOS betas but according to our AppleSeed forum & Apple engineers wOS2 is supported and works fine with iOS 10 (and the way we all use it) with a couple of small caveats. Same was true last year with wOS2 and iOS9 beta.
You later statement will almost certainly fix the issue though, but there is no compatibility issues.
I know that watchOS 3 requires iOS 10. (I'm running both) I was saying that there can be compatibility issues in a iOS 10 beta because technically iOS 10 is meant to run with watchOS 3, not 2. (Watch app is updated with watchOS 3 features)
OP has to either wait it out for a new iOS beta that won't cause issues or perhaps it can be resolved with a simple re-pairing. (Which is often the case anytime iOS or watchOS gets updated.)
Again, according to Apple (not me but Apple engineers that post on our AppleSeed forum) that is not the case and iOS10 is 100% compatible with wOS2 (just missing a feature [Friends] and you can see but can't select the new faces). Other than that according to Apple it is 100% OK to use iOS10 with wOS2.

Still doesn't mean it's 100% compatible (or even 100% for everyone) in this specific build. It's beta and issue can arise build to build, person to person.

i noticed i wasn't getting email notifications on the watch anymore on dev beta 3. turned out that the notifications on the watch still said "mirror iPhone" but the iPhone notifications for mail were turned off, don't show on lock screen and silenced. once i turned them back on, notifications come through just fine now.
I'm on iOS 10 dev 3 and watchOS 3 beta 3 and never through any of the betas had issues with notifications. just check and make sure the phone notifications are all turned on.

This happened to me. It eventually worked itself out after a day or so. I probably rebooted both devices.
