If the iPhones are unveiled in mid-October, then theyll probably ship around the same time as the iPhone 12.

Probably because they feel the iPhone 12 deserves an event mainly to itself, and there wouldn’t have been quite enough to cover during today’s event if they just announced the new Watch Series 6 and the iPad 8.
