Not sure I want to go back to iPhone with constant news bias

I have my iPhone 6 and I notice everytime I pick it up and look around the news sections and spotlight, it's filled with nothing but leftist media sources.

Is there any way to actually remove these sources like on Android ?

Don't you pick what it shows you?

I recall when opening it the first time that it asks you what sources you prefer.

Even if you tell News not to show you articles from certain sources, they still do. For instance, I blocked CNN and Huffington Post months ago, yet stories from them still show up.

Apple, like most tech companies have a leftist bias. The best thing is to not use the new app, download some real news apps and be done with it. That way you're not forced to see the constant hysteria and fake news.

That's true- hence why I use the NyTimes app integration- I hate getting fake news from Fox on my dashboard...

Yeah, the News app and more so the News widget are shocking. They constantly display content you have no interest in, have disliked in the past, or muted the channel for. It's like it gives you the illusion of control and customisation, but it actually does nothing and will still keep showing you celebrity news or stuff about US domestic politics.

Awesome. I stopped using news because it kept showing me news from sources I didn’t want. I was really disappointed in how it was first implemented and gave up on it.

I would definitely download a news app with similar political agenda as yours. That’s what I did.

Weird. I only ever see stories from sources I selected when I first set up the app.

I actually find the news app surprisingly good at showing me articles I would normally read or topics in which I have interest.

I suggest you try "Newsify" Great app that works a heck of a lot better than the stock news app. Very customizable. It is a subscription based app (for premium features).
