Hi:)
After updating my phone I lost all my jailbreak quirks and Cydia and whatnot, so I thought it completely unjailbroke my phone. However, recently I tried to install Miitomo on my phone, and it would not open. I Googled why, and found that Miitomo doesn't work on jailbroken phones, so now I'm confused. I really want to download this app and I don't think my phone is still jailbroken so I don't understand why it doesn't work.
Should I reset/erase/restore ? I'm scared to do anything because I don't want to reconfigure my phone to my preferences and I don't want to lose texts or app data like in games. What should I do to be able to install this game? Is my phone still jailbroken? How do I unjailbreak without losing anything? Jailbreaks on iOS 9.2 are not yet available so how would I unjailbreak a previous jailbreak? AH.

please help !

Did you restore from a backup?

If so that's the issue.
You can restore from a backup while jailbroken. Just restores your data.

OP says he updated. I'm betting he plugged the phone into iTunes and just updated. And it's this that would be the problem.

There are still pieces of the jailbreak hanging around.

OP, if you want to keep your data but completely get rid of the jailbreak, backup, restore your phone as new through iTunes and then restore from your backup.

Never, just update a jailbroken iPhone. You get these problems. Always backup, restore as new and then restore from your backup.

Pieces of a job can be stored in a backup hence the question.

That is quite true. And I have had that happen to some degree (Springboard maintained a clean no icon page despite being stock), but never anything that prevented opening an app.

But I restored as new each time and then restored from backup.
