I Love My AirPods, and like to use them EVERY TIME my iPhone rings. However, unless I am wearing my AirPods 24/7, there are times when my iPhone rings, and I don't already have my AirPods in my ears. So I have to go through the process of answering the phone the normal way.....then say to the caller "hang on a sec" while I fumble to get my AirPods in my ears and verify that my Bluetooth is connected which means I have to go to the settings, connect, etc. You'all know what I'm talking about.

When I am wearing my AirPods in case the phone rings, then the process is seamless. Phone rings, I answer it, and I am bluetooth connected. But when I don't have everything in place, meaning my bluetooth is connected, and my earbuds are in, the process can be clumsy.

How do you all handle these situations?? Thank you!!

Attention Moderators.....I would also like to include my thread in the "iPhone Accessories" category. How can I do that after already starting my thread? Thank you!

Just answer the phone and don’t worry about the hassle of putting the headphones in.

That’s how I would handle that.

No, not really, I prefer to use my APP when on any call where I am stationary and they are at hand, I just put one in the ear not covered by the phone, it immediately transfers then I put there other in, done.

No verifying Bluetooth or having to go to settings, no idea why you would have to do that.

When I'm already using my airpods with my iphone and receive a call then of course I'll use them, any other time just answer the phone.

I will not seek them out as they're not always immediately around me (to me is a hassle to go find them), plus I leave them at work during the work week and take them home on the weekends (So they are not always with me when I receive calls).

I don't just prefer, but I absolutely refuse to talk on the phone without them.

Basically my brain doesn't work without getting the voice in both ears. 🤷

Since getting my ipp’s every call I’ve taken has been with at least one. I use my iPhone case less, it’s too slippy to trust it wedged between my wobbly jowl and shoulder if I need to use two hands for something..

So what do you do when the phone rings, and you're not wearing your AirPods?
Cry until the phone stops ringing? 😉

Honestly, they're actually always within reach. At home because, well, I'm at home; and away from home I have them in my pocket. It's even more likely that I have them with me than my iPhone (AW…).

I found the same annoying to connect once the phone start ringing.

Won't help OP, but this is one reason i like the airpods max being on all the time, just put them on to answer calls.
People complain about no on/off button lol, can't please everyone.
