Even the S5 and the LG G 3 screens blow the 6 plus away......I even prefer the note 3's screen after viewing the iphone 6 plus in person....

Same here!

Mind you, I don't think Apple chose the best wallpaper to show off their screens and since that is all you see from page to page when just scrolling around, it might have made a difference /shrug

I wasn't going to buy the note 4 but Verizon has it 699 unlocked for 32gb and bestbuy is having a 200 trade in for any working cell phone towards the note 4. I'm going to trade in an old droid x from 4 years ago and try to get best buy to price match Verizon's unlocked price.they have the note 4 for 850 so after price match and trade in I might be able to get the phone for 499 unlocked! Crossing my fingers lol

Its also 300 with a 2 year contract so I don't mind spending another 200 to keep my unlimited data plan

let us know if that deal goes down. I may be wrong, but I always thought bestbuy was pretty firm with their contract free prices. I know they are much higher than everyone else, but I think it is b.c they do not get the deals carriers get.

They pricematched my gs5 for 599 to Verizon's off contract price but it was a pain to do it.

The bestbuy trade in gives you a bestbuy gift card for 200. The Samsung offer gives you a check for the difference of the trade in.
Guess it comes down to if you want the gift card or a check.

But either way it's a great deal. I haven't been in contact with ATT for 2 years now and I'm eligible for the subsidy. So my Note 4 will be 99 after its all said and done.

anybody else not know how to read that chart?

I interpreted it as the square checkboxes along the three lines being 100% accuracy in color reproduction. The Note 4 was praised as being the most accurate to date and their grid point being very close to the checkboxes reflecting that.

Not a sophisticated analysis for sure but just what I took from it.

Would changing the Screen Mode option in TW affect results? What about "adapt display" option. I use the "Professional photo" option on my S4. Do they say what option was chosen?

Can you please define what the benchmark in these graphs is? Is it measuring to sRGB, AdobeRGB or something else?

"Color accuracy" can mean many things depending on which set your are testing against.

Just want to be clear.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Would you also happen to know which mode the Note 4 was using? I believe Samsung provides a variety of different display modes for various viewing preferences/tasks.

I have to dig through it but I'm guessing basic mode is sRGB and amoled photo mode was adobe rgb

Either or Samsung tried to get the device as close as possible with both standards

Here is a picture Samsung sent display mate of there diamond pixels in the note 4

People praise the LG G3 screen, but it's way too dim for my taste. And the contrast isn't all great either. LCD has this "problem" compared to AMOLED, but when I see the LG G3 I see a meh screen. Same for the HTC M8.

However, I think the 6+ screen is stunning. The contrast and clarity is pretty amazing by any standard. For LCD the contrast and black levels are very good. I really like the S5 screen as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung made the iPhone 6+ screens also.they are known for making the best screens.

They finally nailed the color issues with amoled and now its all about power efficiency going forward.

Coming from the Note 3, how does hte 6+ display compare? I know the blacks won't be as good, but what about other aspects?
