Note 5 battery life?

I had a Note 5, a Nexus 6, an iPhone 6 plus, and now a 6S. Everything beat the Note 5's battery life. I don't know what it was. I used the all for similar tasks. I have an android wear smartwatch connected 24/7 on all of them. I watch netflix, browse the web, and use facebook messenger.
It does charge much faster. It depends on what you do with it I guess though. I would definitely prefer the Note 5 overall to the 6S though. Much better features and tech. I went with an iPhone because of my work requiring I have one to test development on. I wouldn't be able to use it without it being jailbroken though.
i agree with not being able to use one that is not JB. but even a JB iphone still has it's limitations for how i expect a phone to work. otherwise i may have kept the one i had. but note5 is no doubt a much better and capeable phone even when you compaire it to a jb iphone.
Yeah it is. I have been able to completely replicate the android notification system, but the fact remains that it took a lot of work, is one update away from oblivion, and shouldn't be necessary to do that to have a working way to get and manage notifications in 2015 on an $800 phone.
Thanks for the input guys, it seems for one of you it was good and the other not so much. I would really like to give the new windows phone a go (as I have never tried a windows phone) but my provider doesn't carry them.
I am pretty much looking for a phone with decent battery life and smooth performance. My iPhone 6s can give me smooth performance if I start turning features off like reduce transparency. Not to mention the only way I get 4-5 hours usage is to have everything turned off and I mean everything Siri, 3D Touch, spotlight, Apple Music, background app refresh, Bluetooth, location services...
So I have a $1000 Canadian, iPhone that is a dumb phone with everything turned off just to get decent battery life along with a smoother performance.
I have read/watched a few reviews but don't really trust sites like android authority that seem to always give positive reviews on every device (It seems they receive kickbacks from manufactures for doing so)
I also feel like apple still owns my phone despite me owning it, with not being able to downgrade to an iOS I want and being constantly bugged to update and the phone even going as far as downloading the update without permission while on wifi (what about if I had a metered internet connection)
Not to mention I had a 6+ that I had to return 3 times before I downgraded to the 6 which I had to return 4 times, people are telling me to take my current 6s to the Apple Store (because of the battery) but it seems I spend more time in the Apple Store than I do using the phone.

5-6 hours on screen time should easily be doable on the note 5.
I go back and forth with my gs6 but the last few days I really appreciated the note with its s pen.I was buying a car out of state and getting emails from the dealer,the bank,the shipping company and every email said print sign contracts and then scan or fax back.
I can't tell you how awesome it was to blast a signed PDF back within a min of getting it and the people on the other end being blown away how fast I was getting stuff done with it.
Hands down if you are on the go or a loan broker or buying investments the note 5 blows anything out the water with its s pen features.

You can also do this on the iPhone along with filling out pdf documents with your keyboard and whatever else you need to do.
I have both of those phones, the Note 5 definitely has better battery life and charges faster to boot.
You can't put any files together in emails on iphones it a closed garden
Some of my files were html and I used the web browser to convert them to PDF and then save right to my phone off the web site and who caries a keyboard with them on the fly and how the heck do you sign cursively with a keyboard.
Please for the love of God don't tell me you can do these things on an iPhone.
You simply can't.
While it is roundabout and implemented poorly, it is possible to do what you said. What you would do is get a pdf app that has signing abilities. Then, you would open the attachment and then select the open in.. button at the top right. Then select the app you want. Then use that app to sign it. Then, if the app supports it, save it to your icloud drive and then attach it via mail and send it. Or you could share it directly from the app with its share button
I'm not saying the iPhone is ideal. Quite the opposite. I loved how easy it was to screen capture and markup in a few seconds, compared to the iPhone. In addition, without a jailbreak, the iPhone can not function a work device for someone who needs to view, manage, edit, and share a large amount of files, unlike the note that has a proper file system.
If you are talking about using your finger to fill out a whole application that's not happening on an iPhone.it will look like absolute crap using your finger to fill in all the info.
And I didn't know you can convert files off web based converters and save directly to your iPhone.
Heck even if I hosted my files on here for people to download you can't even freaking save them to your iPhone to begin with lol
Like if I host one of the html files here you can't even save it to try and even convert it in the first place.
I've had both and the ios closed garden is not even a fraction of what a true corporate business person would be able to do with a note phone.
Yes I was talking about that, which is why I said it was a poor solution. Obviously the note is better in every respect for pdfs. You can use web based converters in iOS 9. You can upload files to sites, but they must come from your iCloud drive. Apple also made an iCloud drive app that allows you full control over the iCloud drive file system. Its a step in the right direction, but you still can't move files to the iCloud drive without using a separate app. It works, but in a horrible manner. I'm guessing iOS 10 (X?) will continue this trend, but its still Apple.
the iphone 6s or even the 6s plus, can't hold a candle to the note5 when comes to documents and sharing of files period.
Pdf expert would be able to do what your asking for without any type of work arounds. Wish it was available on android, would work great with the Note.
Tried them, but pdf expert works much better for me. You get some more functionality and the ui is much better imo.
