Click to expand... A crooked but easy way is: use TextEdit. Rather than save, print as PDF. Open PDF in Preview. Now 'Save As' again and in the pop up translucent window.... check the 'Encrypt' box.

Click to expand... I've been communicating with the YouNote people, and that's one of the things that I've requested. I hope that they do it. Other than that, I've tried several other password-protected apps, but they're really not notes apps, so the note-taking interface is really lacking. Short answer: not yet.
