I'm on a iphone 4 and I have found that if I add notes on my computer they sync to the web version of mobile me and my iphone. If I add a note on my iphone directly they do not sync to my computer or the web version of mobile me. Is it not possible to sync notes form the iphone to your computer and the web version of mobileme ota?

Thanks

Nevermind, just figured it out. I didn't realized that on the notes app there are different accounts (all notes, on my iphone and mobile me). I was adding my notes into the on my iphone account instead of mobile me.

Old/New Notes

I realize you posted this awhile back, but I'm hoping you'll receive this and be able to assist me. I'm actually syncing my boss's iPhone 4 to MobileMe. I seem to have gotten his contacts synced, realized he has to automatically send his pictures, etc. My question is regarding the notes. I see where you say there are 3 different places to put your notes. My question is, what are the steps to save them in MobileMe? Do you have to manually do this for each note or will it automatically do so for the new notes? How about for old notes, ones he's saved before he got MobileMe? Thanks in advance for your help!

Not quite sure what your asking. On mail.app on my imac, I set up the notes folder to sync with mobile me. When I add a note in this folder it gets synced to the iphone note app and on the mobileme web email, it gets synced to a new notes folder that is created. In the mail.app on my imac, I did not check "show notes in inbox" option under the mailbox behavior in the account settings.

I do not think you can add a note through the web interface. As for the old notes, I would add a new mailbox, under notes, than mobileme. After creating this folder I would copy the notes to this new folder. They should than sync.

Not sure what you are talking about. Where is this setting?

On the iphone, Setting, General, Mail-Contacts-Calanders
On the very bottom, set default note account to your MM account.

At the very bottom it says Default Calendar. Are you saying that this also means the Default Not Account as well? Or is there a new setting only sometimes?

Do you have ios4? On the very bottom, mine has Notes Default Account.
Yes. That is strange. Is the EXACTLY "Notes Default Account"? It is under the Section "Calendars"?

Mine is as follows:

Calendars

New Invitation Alerts ON/OFF
Sync
Time Zone Support
Default Calendar

Maybe another setting turns it on.

Staying with the Notes issue, I've successfully moved my old notes to MobileMe on both my MacBook and my iPhone. I've turned OFF "show notes in inbox" after moving the notes that appeared in my Mail inbox to trash. if I empty trash at some point, will all of my MobileMe notes also disappear. Reason I ask is that when I initially received the Notes in MobileMe inbox in Mail and deleted them, they also disappeared from the Notes folder. Hope this makes sense.
