Does anyone have any info about what these features will be like? Syncing with ical would be a big reason as to why i would get a smartphone let alone an iphone. had anyone gotten to demo the iphone calender app? i know at macworld it wasn't finished and there was just a placeholder graphic in its place.

Also, do you guys think that the "notes" feature could possibly compensate for the lack of Word on the iphone? I doubt it really. definitely not for excel. From what ive seen, the ability to edit Micosoft Office docs is a big necessity for smartphone users. I dont get why Apple would leave it out. And its not like people are going to want to be online when they edit docs, so making it an AJAX app would be ridiculous (im might be wrong as i dont know much about software developement and whatnot). Do you guys think there will ever be a documents-to-go like feature on the iphone. I imagine not having it will turn away a lot of smartphone users from the iphone, even if they add it in a later release, because people are likely to judge it only once, and not pay attention to later releases.

We don't even know what ToDos will look like on this thing. Apparently Walt Mossberg has a review unit, so maybe his review will go up before the 29th and we'll get a chance to actually see all that the iPhone can do.

i bet the calender isnt going to be that impressive. or else they would've showed it. Or maybe there just not done with it. but what could be taking so long?
