Hey all,

Like most people here, I can't wait for the new iPhone to come out. Been waiting since January/February this year to see what it would be like and I'm glad I waited.

My question is though, I have a lot of notes and messages etc on my current iPhone 3G and wondered whether or not all this information would be synced over to my new iPhone 4 when it comes out?

I know that this worked from restoring from a previous backup I had for the 3G, but wondering if the new iPhone 4 will be drastically different in that respect, or due to it running a newer OS, it simply working.

I know no one knows for sure about it yet, but wondered whether anyone here had an idea. Maybe you went through it from the first iPhone to the 3G?

Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, Ben

Usually restore works fine and all your settings are carried across.

Occasionally there's a glitch and you need a clean restart but this is rare.
