Notes and Reminders in iCloud

Hi all,
I have an iMac running SL 10.6.8. I have no iDevices. I see Notes and Reminders have been added to iCloud.
How would I use these? Or would I even use these? My iCal app does update to the iCloud calendar if that helps.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Then you can only use them through iCloud.com and any iOS devices that are compatible.

I was hoping for some functionality with SL, but for me it's not worth leaving Snow Leopard.

Well, this is cool.
I entered a test reminder in iCloud, and at the correct hour a small iCal Alarm popped up on my iMac screen. Exactly what I need. Thanks, Apple!
