In the Notes app, when you add a new folder to the "All iCloud" (root), you have to alphabetize it yourself because it gets added to either the top or the bottom of the folder tree.

However, when you're in a subfolder and you create a new folder inside of it, it automatically gets alphabetized (the way it should be, at least in my opinion.)

Anyone have any ideas on why this works this way?

Yes, just another step one has to take to sort Notes.
I do wish Apple would change that.

At the moment, I am researching moving from Apple Notes to OneNote. Wondering if I will have more flexibility - currently using 240+ notes...
