Notes.app stuck at 65% CPU

Hi,

Since upgrading to Big Sur, I've noticed that Notes.app is pegged at ~65% CPU constantly.

Some primitive Googling suggested I try disabling/re-enabling iCloud, this did not help.

I also thought it might be related to Spotlight/indexing/etc - so I disabled Spotlight from searching the Applications folder.

I then deleted _all_ my notes - so I have 0 notes and iCloud disabled, but the progress is _still_ at high CPU.

workaround, not a solution: change Notes to Gallery view (under View menu).

Have you tried, the iCloud is working for Notes.app (ie, ceratec new notes in iOS, check in BS, and vide versa)? High cpu usually iCloud sync issues.

Apple Notes Using CPU

I have the same problem with notes(switching to gallery view solve the problem) but it looks like it is a macos bug because I have the same problem in News Explorer(an RSS reader app). The cpu will get stuck on 65% usage and it will use the performance core which will make the laptop slighty...
