Notes been buggy for at least 4 OS updates. I have a MBair-M1-2020-16gbram-1tbHD-Sonoma 14.1.2. Can too much data in notes cause this?

I don't recall having any problems with the Notes app. It would be a good idea to submit feedback about your problems to Apple.

What kind of problems are you having?

if you have a LOT of notes and e.g. scrolling through isn’t fluid, etc. organize them into folders inside Notes. That will improve interaction speed and fluidity immensel.

I do make use of folders. The bugginess manifests as slow response to generic command even typing and then the beach ball which usually goes away but by then I have gotten impatient and just force quit and restart. I always choose send report to apple. But like I said this has been an on again off again issue for a couple of years.

during regular use it seems to randomly act almost frozen...I am unable to execute any commands and when I move the pointer to the apps logo on top left it will show the spinning ball. Often I can make a series of commands and it will be lagging so much that it can take 10-15 seconds to start catching up to the commands. Everytome I force quit it resumes normal function. Again over the years it's been so infrequent I just moved but have extra time on my hands these days and thought id try to get some input.
