Notes deletion ?

I just saw this and was wondering what does it actually mean. I mean I am confused as to how many days the notes stay in the trash.

It means you can change your mind and undelete a Note up to 30 days. After that it will be deleted. It may not be deleted on the 30th day but will sometime after that, probably within 40 days total. So it's not 30 days + 40 days; it's 40 total. I wouldn't count on it being available to undelete, say, on the 37th day.
