Notes & iCloud bug

I really enjoyed all of the betas for the mac, they have been very stable and smooth for the general population..

but with the new GM, I have found that 'Notes' doesn't open a window when i click on it, but will acknowledge the click and open the app (just no window)

anyone else have this issue?

only annoying thing I've found besides that, is my iCloud needs signing into constantly with a message saying "problem connecting" popping up about 2 times a day

Yosemite 'old' notes wont sync with El Cap, please apple, issue a Yosemite notes update on Wednesday in line with new iOS notes.

Also 9.1 wont backup to icloud (for me)

The old notes will sync with El Capitan, if you don't upgrade the notes format to the new one.
