Ok so I have run into an issue on my MacBook Pro. I went to clean out my Notes since most of them are customer support case numbers and phone numbers I no longer need, but I still want to look at them to make sure (and, they date back to 2010). Well, I tried opening some of my older notes, and most (I'd say 90%) that are dated before July 2013 show in the side bar, and even have a title but the actual note won't show. I checked my iPhone and all the notes were intact, I even checked iCloud.com and my Mac Pro and sure enough, they were all OK. So its only this Mac.

I called Apple Support to try and get some help. Instead, I got an hour hold and a rep who didn't know how to transfer calls (kept ending the call with the Senior advisor and finally just hung up on me while transferring). When I got to someone who sounded like they could help, (another 45 min hold) they told me to reinstall the OS and thats it.

Well, I did that and same thing. I did restore from Time Machine and I'd like to not have to start from scratch again. I just did that 3 weeks ago when I had mass data corruption thinking it could be the OS so I started from scratch and just got back what I needed.

Any ideas how to fix it? I'd prefer not to have to call Apple again and it seems the people on this forum know more then them anyway.

Did you try unchecking notes on that account in Internet Accounts and rechecking it - that should force a resent of the notes?

Yes, I also tried completely signing out then in to iCloud. Still didn't work.

I'm gonna run a permissions check to be sure but considering its a fresh install, I doubt its that.
