Has anybody any idea whether I can delete the original file once I have pasted the item into notes or not?

With this being a new OS I am finding it difficult to find this information and thought that maybe some of the Beta testers would be able to help please.

Always have a backup of your backup. Don't rely solely on Apple.
Yes I do, but I just want to know whether I can delete the original file once I have pasted it into notes?

I want to create a note of inspirations with images DL from online, so would I be able to delete the originals once pasted into Notes or does Notes need the orig file as reference do you know?

If you have the original backed up, you shouldn't need it in notes.

Hmm maybe you don't fully understand what I mean (?) I have a set of images in my DL folder that I would like to put into a note that I can view across all of my Apple devices so if they just remain in my DL folder and an external back up etc that is of no use to me if I want to view them on my iPhone or iPad now is it?

Plus if I don't need the the originals once I have pasted them into notes then there is no need to keep them is there as they would effectively be taking up twice of the space, and I wouldn't need a back up once I have pasted them into Notes as iCloud would look after that right?

I just want to try and understand whether Notes references to the originals or not, or whether once pasted into Notes then that is the actual file pasted there into Notes if you understand what I mean?

It would ideally be nice to know whether Notes also uses the original file size or whether it compresses it somehow. There is seriously very little information on how Notes actually works which I find to be a little frustrating.
