Notetaking on the iPad?

Now that school is back I am wondering how you guys incorporate the ipad into your studies. Is there an app out there that lets you sync to the MacBook other than pages?

I use Evernote. Free, great tool, lets you categorize, tag, etc. Only thing it's missing is a rich-text editor for iPad. (Can you hear me, Evernote guys)?

I know some people that use Penultimate with a Pogo Stylus. I have a Pogo Stylus, but I haven't quite gotten used to it, so I just type meeting notes into Evernote on iPad and it syncs to my work machine, MBP, iPhone, etc.

Noterize allows you to share with google docs, goodreader, drop box, email, etc. That's not exactly syncing though.

I found that evernote crashed alot when your network connectivity was spotty. I tried to use it in New Orleans for TechEd this year and had to give up, reverting to the built in notes app.

Now I use Notetaker HD with a pogo stylus and I love it. If I need to type alot I've found mobile noter works pretty good too.

i want to be able to:
- sync with my MBP (don't care if it's through dropbox or something else, as long as it syncs)
- make bullets points instead of using a dash like this list
- after i've saved it, i want to be able to open it again and edit it

i'm sure there's more that i want to do but it's late here and my head won't work right now

try SimpleNote on iPad (or iPhone), and on the Mac use the free application called Notational Velocity - it syncs natively with Simplenote.

text only, i.e. can't add drawings, but simple and it works.

to type bullet points on the iPad, just tap and hold the dash key for a couple seconds, you'll get a popup that lets you insert a bullet

nar tried that and hated how it saves everything in one long thingydiggy

i like folders and and so semblance or order

I will do. Have downloaded it and will try it out later. I like it already coz it's free!

*edit* ok played with it for a few minutes. i like how it is nice and simple. text is all i need (i'm a law student) but have to email it to myself which is a pain.....i'll play with it more though and try out the things to sync with myself, but i quite like it so far

*edit 2* actually i like the tag system, which is kind of like folders so i can save to individual subjects etc...i'm liking this more and more!

ok let's edit my list of requirements....my perfect notetaking app is able to:

• sync with my MBP (would prefer it if it was a service such as dropbox or similar, which allows notes to be saved into folders etc, saves me having to email to myself etc)
• after i've saved it, i want to be able to open it again up and edit it using my ipad
• the ability to change fonts, just simple things like bold, underline etc

I have bought every note-taking app out there and ended up deleted all of them but 1: Notes Plus. It has a couple bugs but the dev. emailed me back saying they have been fixed and the 2.0 is coming out. I'd give it a try. BTW, if anyone is looking for feature list for the app just visit the website found on iTunes page, the dev. has listed all upcoming features.

I'll get Simplenote and Notational Velocity also for my class but can I draw small graph or anything like that ? I also need to draw a little bit for my chemistry class also so can simplenote do that?

For non-graphical notes (e.g. Of meetings) I like now to use iThoughtHD, a mind mapper tool. It allows me easy to restructure while punching in, hiding brunches etc. And can sync with desktop
