Notification above facetime dock icon. [image included]

I used facetime just once to see what it was like, between my MBP and someone else's iPhone.

Its now showing up like this

Whats the reason for this notification and why wont it disappear?

Usually indicates a missed call. Open the app and click on "Recents" at the bottom.

to turn off notifications

If you don't want the little number there at all, go to System Preferences-->Notifications-->FaceTime and uncheck "Badge app icon."
