Occasionally I'm on a text string (thread?) where everyone is texting way too much and I don't want to be bothered, knowing I can catch up later. I used to be able to "Hide Alerts" on the string on my iPhone, and it wouldn't show a notification on my lock screen, and it wouldn't send any notifications to my Apple Watch. All of a sudden yesterday afternoon, that changed. I can't seem to be able to mute individual message threads, whether they are from an individual or from a group - the only thing I can do is turn off notifications altogether. This is incredibly annoying. Then, this morning, a good friend on the same thread that I was trying to mute reached out with the same problem! I've been on the phone twice with Apple Support today and no one seems to know what's going on.

Is this happening with anyone else?
