Notification Center and Twitter for Mac

I just noticed that when you receive a tweet in your ML Notification center and you click on it to respond, you are taken to twitter.com instead of using the Twitter for Mac app.

Is there anyway around this? Or has Twitter for Mac just not been updated for Mountain Lion yet?

twitter for mac hasn't seen an update for over a year, it really needs to be updated.

thats probably why it doesn't use notification center

I'd also like to see this but my god updates for twitter are few and far between
