Yesterday morning my dog sitter lost my dog after letting him out unsupervised in a non gated backyard. (Best sitter ever, right I know) (6:30am)

I was notified by text and a push notification from the Rover app. (7:41am)
I drove to the sitters house and joined them looking for my dog. They asked if I received any calls from animal control and I said no. (8:00am)

After walking around the area I decided to double check if I've received anything and notification center revealed I had a missed call at 6:58am, turns out my dog wandered to a nearby hotel and they kept watch of him. I was able to rescue him. (8:15am). I'm so thankful the hotel held on to my dog for that long, especially with it being a 15 degree morning.

Later in the day I was looking through my phone and also saw I had a voicemail from the hotel around the same time and they texted me but it went to the Unknown Senders area. This wasn't in notification center.

Aside from Rover and the relay text about my dog being lost, my iPhone 11 Pro Max never made a sound, vibrated or had any information on the lock screen. (this makes me appreciate the notification light on my Samsung work phone) I checked the Verizon call filter app, doesn't appear its blocked anything or considered this well known hotel to be spam.

The notification settings are completely stock along with ringtone. The only setting I have is DND from 12am to 6:30am. I do not have a Apple Watch and I'm on 13.1.3. With 3-4 bars of Verizon LTE service and fully charged.

Any ideas what could have caused this and what I can change to ensure this miss doesn't happen again? In its current state I can't trust my iPhone for emergencies.

Spoke with Apple support today which didn't recommend anything useful besides considering resetting my phone or adding the hotel as a contact.

Notifications, including lock screen notifications and sound/vibe settings, are a sh!tshow with all variants of iOS 13 on my 11PM and on a lot of other people's phones. Lots of threads and bug reports here on various aspects of the native Mail app that are broken in 13. Some people have had better luck using third party mail apps, but not all users have that as an option with Exchange mail servers.

I'd say go back to 12.4.1, but Apple stopped signing it a couple of weeks ago.

Good to know. Hopefully its fixed soon.

To add to the issue I received a text about 20 minutes ago about my monthly Verizon statement. No sound/vibrate what so ever but was on the lock screen. The phone has been sitting in front of me on a desk for like 2 hours. This is crap.

I rely heavily on notifications for my corporate email, both visual and sound/vibe. Yes, this is a really big issue for me (and for a lot of other people).

My notifications as of 13.1.3 have stopped working on both my iPad Pro and iPhone 11 Pro with iCloud mail account. I noticed today that I wasn't getting badge icons or screen notifications for my iCloud account on my iPhone. A reboot didn't fix, turrning the notification settings off and on didn't fix, finally fixed by changing notification settings for the alert sound. I got about four email messages that I received lock screen notifications for and then it stopped working again. What was interesting was the iPad was getting iCloud mail notifications while the iPhone was not. However, now neither devices are getting iCloud notifications for received mail, that includes lock screen messages, and badge icons. Super frustrating! Exchange mail so far has continued to work, but I'm scared that will stop working too.

Same here. On 13.1.3. Most notably, Messages notification audio when the phone is locked, will not fire. The screen will wake, and the notification will display, but no sound. When I pick up the phone for Face ID unlock, then the sound will play. Pretty damn useless in this state.

Reassuring to know I'm not the only out there so hopefully its fixed quickly. I turned on repeat alerts (3 times) for text messages and turned off grouping notification for phone to see if it will help as a temp workaround.

Unfortunately iOS 13 came out I believe on the 19th of September and it’s now the 19th of October - it’s past the point of being fixed quickly as many of us are having these ridiculous issues.
