Hi all, I have just updated to 17.1 and learned that Notification was changed from Tri-tone to Rebound... I have no problem with change but I can't seem to find a way to change it back.

New sound is to to low in volume in comparison to Tri-tone and I often not hear it. I have searched online and found not way to change it...

Please someone tell me that Apple is not this stupid? We can't change it? Was it even possible to change it before iOS 17? I don't ever remember, I never tried till now...

Wow yeah, I don’t have iOS 17, but I looked rebound up and it’s way softer. I also never noticed that it cannot be changed! I’m running iOS 12 and I can’t change it either.

Yep, the new sound is Rebound. While I am starting to warm up to it, it's so hard to hear it compared to the tri-tone, they really should just let us change it, we've never been able to.

Apple's current intention is that the developer of the corresponding app is able to change it, not the user.

New notification tone is NOT GOOD for alerting me via Google Home Security Camera alerts while I'm in a deep sleep; at least the previous tone would wake me up if/when activity was detected; now i'm having to sleep with an old iPhone on iOS 13 sitting next to my 15ProMax on iOS 17, this is so many steps backwards, I HATE 2023 APPLE!
