Notification sounds for apps like Twitter

I can’t find how to change app specific notification sounds in iOS 11.
For example Twitter was removed from settings. So where would I find a way to change that general notification sound?
I must be missing something, unless we’re stuck with a general ding for Twitter and sports scores.

Unless the app provides something itself to control its notification sound, there isn't much beyond that which would control what sound is used.

That’s nuts. Twitter sports apps. Fb messenger are all stuck on the generic iOS sound ?

Well, whatever sound it is that they decide to use for their app.
