Since upgrading from a XS to a 15PM, notifications while using AirPods Pro have been super loud. Nothing I've found seems to help. Any ideas?

Yes, I have the same problems (15PM & APP2v2:USB-C)!

Every time I get an email, text (SMS/iMess/WA/etc) the ping is so loud it makes me jump. (my other app's notifications are mostly off, BTW.)

I tried turning 15PM off>on, but still happening.

There is no separate volume control for notifications AFAICT. This is so annoying that surely it's a bug. 🤷‍♂️

I fiddled with the "Ringtones & Alerts" volume slider a few times. Rebooted phone. Now back to normal.
Weird.

It’s no bug, but it‘s very surprising Apple haven’t done anything about this because there‘s potential to damage your ears.

You just need to reduce the ringer volume & have vibration enabled - it‘s how I’ve got around it for years.

Also helps if you wear your AirPods most of the time, so you minimise that chance of missing that lowered ringtone.

I had the AirPods Pro 2 and now the USB-C version. Since upgrading to iOS17 my notification volume is very loud (feel like it’s going to blow out my ear drums), but Siri and workout reminders are normal volume. I still haven’t figured out a way to fix this?

How did you change this setting exactly? And I never had this problem before…

As mentioned, just lower your volume from the Home Screen & turn on Haptics in the ‘Sound & Haptics’ settings.

If you don’t like the lowered volume, then you’re forced to change your ringtone to a less piercing type.

I did that, but it didn’t change anything. My problem is when Siri reads notifications. The first beep is so loud and then Siri reads the notification too loud as well. I changed the volume on my iPhone but didnt change a thing…

None of these ideas seem to have helped at all. The thing is, I never had this problem before upgrading to the new phone. But it's really weird that you can't control notification volume anywhere.

It’s honestly so annoying. The notifications are so loud. Not sure how Apple isn’t aware of this? My watch speaks run updates at the typical volume, but any notification is super loud and jarring.
