I'm getting rather sick of my iPhone blasting the notification sound at nearly double full volume because a notification came in while I'm typing. Am I the only one experiencing this? I also get randomly insanely loud keyboard clicks as well sometimes, but not predictably like the notification sound playing while typing. I have my ringer only about 1/3 of the way up as I have an Apple Watch to get most of my notifications on anyways. I don't think I should have to keep my mute switch on or start disabling keyboard clicks, notification sounds, etc for a bug that Apple hasn't fixed for years. My iPhone 14 Pro has been rather disappointing coming from my iPhone 12 (not pro), between that and all of the other random bugs that it seems Apple has ignored year after year, I'm about ready to try a Pixel instead.

I must be the only one experiencing this I guess. Or everyone has become accustomed to this bug going on for years.

Na, my 14PM used to do this on iOS 16.something. Used to scare the crap out of me at night. My 15PM doesn’t do this.

Hmm, interesting that it seems to only affect certain models. But then again when some newer iPhones have features that are literally only software preventing them from working on prior iPhones it doesn’t surprise me. There are differences in the OS depending on what gen devices it’s on. Between the bugs my iPhone has and the 2 large issues we had at work with iPads that were basically shrugged off as “eh buy new iPads” I think it’s time to try something different this next time.

I can thoroughly recommend the Galaxy S’ range if they are your type of thing. I’ve not had a problem with the iPhone 15 this year either.

I also had random loud keyboard clicks. Found a tip that helped me:
Try to turn off sound recognition in accessibility (if it's already turned off, try to turn it on and then off again)
