First of all it's an epic fail that there not a universal switch to urn them off, I was reading an article at Macworld and someone commented if steve new this a lot of people would be out of jobs, he was right.

Anyway what happens to me is I ve turned everything off in eBay, eBay isn't running, and it all notifies me? Isn't that strange or what? If anyone can solve this mystery to me they deserve my congratulations.

Anger thing I d like to mention is what a mess notifications are, you take something off notification Center, why should an app istill notify you with an app badge if you have it on in the settings? Someone explain this to me, what's the point of having notifications outside the notification centre? Shouldn't it be that if the notification Center choice in the app settings is off, that the app doesn't notify you of anything???

If you're still receiving notifications with eBay, I'd uninstall and reinstall the app.

How are notifications a mess? You have one dedicated area to manage notifications on a per-app basis, and in there you can chose whatever you want. As for badges, it's a matter of choice. Nothing wrong with having the option there. I use Sparrow for my emails yet use Mail to check for me. The badge-only option is exactly what I want. You seem to be confused with what Notification Center refers to; it is only the pull-down area, nothing more.

Notification Center is a place to view all of your notifications from all of your apps in one place instead of scrolling from page to page, opening app after app to view all of your notifications. It's very customizable depending on how you want your notification from that app.

And I agree about your ebay app. Maybe a reinstall will fix whatever notification error you may be having.

Agree, but what's the point of having a notification venter AND a separate notification via a banner say that isn't in the centre. Surely if you want to be notified by an app you want to see this in your notification centre too, in which case would you want to be notified but have it not appear on the notification centre? Then why the added complexity of being also notified separately, which means at without a master on off switch not only do you have to turn off every app in the notification centre, but also turn off app banners too. This is a very unapple and convoluted way to turn off being notified.

You know what my idea would be have a master on off switch for the notification centre and if it's off, have next the battery icon a clear icon showing it's off so you know quickly and don't miss or forget to set it up again.
