why doesn't it have the motivations button like it display on the apple website. they have a button wich shows how many new messages, emails and calls all in the one button--similar to the message and phone buttons, but all in one.

the one on the far right of te main image. It is back and displays:mail, calendar and SMS.

any ideas how to get that up?

That's just to represent Notification Center. Swipe down from the top of your screen where the status bar is (in full screen apps, swipe twice).

The icons on that page are app icons and since the Notification Center is not accessed via an app, I agree with lfc that it is just representative of the Notification Center.
