So i swipe down from the lock screen and some notifications i can swipe to the right to launch into the app, some others i can't.

Similarly from home screen, swipe down and some i can launch with tap, some only with 3D touch and even then i can't push harder to launch the app, i have to tap.

Seems inconsistent to say the least.

also sometimes, i'll tap a notification, it'll launch the app but not take me where it's supposed to.

anyone else had this happen?

Seems like an inconsistency related to 3D Touch in one way or another as this kind of thing doesn't seem to affect devices without 3D Touch.

would it be an iOS 10 issue, the app creator or a little bit of both?

i was thinking that too, but default apps behave this way as well.

i've had mail notifications where i swipe left and hit Clear and it just refuses to go away.

3D Touch should give you more options, it's nice to have it but i think it should go like this.

Peek -> get 3D touch contextual menu, tap (or drag) on option to interact
Pop -> launch straing into the notification, like the tap of yesteryear

I'm fine with killing tap or swipe for notifications but the functionality has to be uniform / consistent ffs!

...yes, I'm right there with you. Weird really; clearly an iOS 10 issue.
Or, are we doing it wrong? :(

I don't think we are, i've tried several ways to do it but it always ends up being "buggy" or actually buggy, like mail notifications refusing to Clear.
