Notifications randomly not sounding on my iPhone on iOS 14.2. All volume controls are on for the ringer. AW 6 has issue with phone rings being delayed compared to phone. Randomly read messages are marked unread on the AW when already read on iPhone. Fixes? All software up to date.

Just adding that iOS 14.3 has the same problem. You reboot the phone and it stops doing it for a while, then it comes back. I note that you can always tell when the process is broken when you put the phone to charge, and there is no chime, and later when you wake the phone and remove it from charge, you get the chime that you should have got when charging started.

I really miss my iPhone X with iOS 13. Missing iOS 13. Hah. There's a good one. But I'm really beginning to regret this 12 Pro (that forces iOS 14) if simple software features can't work reliably.

Having this same problem with notifications. iPhone 12pro with 14.3. And if you are listening to music or streaming audio of any kind with the phone locked, the volume will drop like it's expecting a notification, but the notification chime doesn't happen until you unlock the phone, and then the music volume goes back up to the original level. Also, like the person above, when you plug in the charging cable, the chime doesn't happen until after you've unlocked the phone.

14.4 has the same issue right now, in beta 1. This will take some time for the engineers to fix, folks. But just 6 months to go for iOS 15 with new features along with issues. ;)

I really think Apple must not understand source code management. Every time they do something, they break unrelated subsystems. Do they just check out one monolithic codebase, and scribble on it?

I'm experiencing this as well. But then again, I've had this problem since iOS 11 (with 2 different phones). It's been 3 years so I figured now is about when Apple will silently fix it, but the bug appears to be spreading!

I’m experiencing this problem too! Very discouraged to hear that it is not addressed in the newest beta.

also here....noticing mostly on watch .....a rest tends to fix for a while but then issue randomly starts again

Same problem - no notification for incoming calls on watch or when sound is on. iPhon 12 Pro Max, latest public release of iOS 14.3 and public release of Watch OS. Also discouraged to hear the beta of 14.4 doesn’t address this yet (Was thinking of installing it today)
