Not sure if it's a bug with iOS 12, but I know I never had this problem with 11.x. Mainly happens with Facebook or Instagram.

I'll get a notification while my phone is unlocked and I'll just go to the application and open it and acknowledge whatever it was. I then notice that in my Notification Center, there is still a notification listed for the one I had just read.

Anyone else experiencing this? It's almost like some applications aren't communicating read/unread status with iOS.

Seen it happen. Likely a developer bug, not an iOS bug as it is not system wide. Contact the application developer.

Thanks. I was contemplating doing that. But, getting FB or IG to respond....well, that would be like getting Apple to respond. ;)
