I'm using an iPhone 11Pro running IOS 15.1 (I updated from 15.0 this morning). AirPods Pro details: HW Version 1.0.0, Model A2084, FW 4A400. When I updated the iPhone to IOS v15.0 , I noticed that the new "Notify when left behind" feature was grayed out (Not Supported) for the Airpods Pro. Now, with IOS 15.1, the option doesn't appear at all. This would lead me to believe that my AirPods Pro are not supported for this feature? I've tried resetting the Airpods Pro and re-pairing them, power cycling the phone, listening to some music for a few minutes on the AirPods and trying again, all with no success.

Is anyone out there having success with the scenario I described above?

A side note - For those of you that use a silicone case for for AirPods case, you may want to consider getting a silicone case that keeps the AirPods case shut? I found that the "old" case I was using had the ability to open in my pocket and cause unnecessary battery drain, the Airpods could easily fall out of the case, as well as risking damaging the case hinge. The "new" case I found (on Amazon) keeps the case shut, but hides the status light. I'm much happier the new case.

Same thing here. Nothing on my iPhone but I can see the option activated on my iPad, also with iOS 15.1, but it doesn’t work at all. It must be a bug with the AirPods firmware.

I have this same issue with iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 15.1 and AirPods Pro running the 4A400 firmware.

When 4A400 firmware first came out and I was running iOS 15.0, it showed that the "Notify when left behind" was active, but the control for it was grayed-out/disabled and I could not configure it at all (nor did it work).

Now it does not even show. Shouldn't this work on the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max which have the U1 chip?

I have the same set up -13 Pro Max(15.1), same AirPods Pro, same firmware - and the function is active and enabled on my Find app on the phone. Now whether it works or not I can’t say since if I’m not using them they are at home, a trusted location. But everything appears to be correct and functioning.

Everything looks like this feature is unavailable only on iPhones of 11 gen as I have the same problem on iPhone 11

There is new software out for AirPods Pro. See if that clears this up for you. There is no documentation that says it doesn’t work with an 11.

I don't have it available either on my iPhone X on 15.1 and Airpod Pro's on 4C165. I do have "notify when found".. Not sure how that's helpful

Now AirPods run 4C165 and iPhone runs iOS 15.1 but it still doesn’t work unfortunately

Probably better off without the feature. It’s been buggy and unreliable since it came out. First I was getting a daily notification, on the way to work, that I left them behind at my house while they’re in my pocket. Now, on iOS 15.2 and the up to date APP firmware, I’m getting notifications that they’re left behind while connected to my phone and in my ears hahaha. That’s rich. Apple lost it.

I have been searching for months for an answer to this, and my curiosity lead me to check the find my app on my Apple Watch... After tapping on my AirPods Pros in the Apple Watch app, I saw the option for the notification and enabled it! (Apologies my watch is in Spanish, but the English options should be pretty self explanatory ?)

I checked my watch and it's on there too.. Wonder why it's not listed on my phone? I never enabled it for my APP's but it shows enabled which is also odd..
