Noting Down Basic Bass Tab On A Mac- Software Advice

Hello, all

Been looking for a way to note just basic Bass tab like you get here: http://www.bassmasta.net/b/beatles,_the/135365.html only a bit more elegant.

Are there any specific tab programs/apps I could use on my Mac? Doesn't have to have any fancy bells and whistles, just a simple TextEdit type program- only for tabs instead?

Have you had a look at:
tabbledit?

I've just had a quick look at the demo. Looks ok.

Or, for the same amount $60, there's
Guitar Pro 6, which is much better.

As for free ones, I have no idea. If you find one, let me know...
