Well, I'm getting rid of my beloved X-E2 and X100S and opted for the sole X-T1 and I've also added the 23mm f/1.4 prime to go with it, making my lineup a little more complete with the 35mm f/1.4 and the 56mm f/1.2.
It's clear that Fuji is no longer interested in updating older bodies with firmware so it's time for me to move on from my trusty X-E2/X100S combo.
The X-T1 firmware 4.0 update looks very promising. I'm a huge fan of the Wi-Fi transfer that I'ved on the X-E2, but the X-T1 seems much for functional for my needs (on the iPad) as I can shoot with it tethered. Plus the X-T1 seems to have more speed when focusing, especially in low light.
I think Fuji is release way too many camera bodies, but I guess they are trying to appeal to every type of user. As long as the keep the superb lens quality (I've also used the 60mm f/2.4 and that was great as a portrait lens as well), I don't mind too much.
I haven't shot with it yet, but I'll give it a spin over the weekend to give me a few days before my Disneyland/California vacation trip next week. So far it feels great in the hands, which I found my X-E2/X100S a bit lacking in terms of the grip.
