Since I only paid 399.99 dollars for ipad. I don't give a crap about buying the 1st Gen. I will be giving this 1st gen iPad to my family member and I plan on buying 3rd or 4th gen ipad.
 
It will be announced in January but it probably won't sell until march or april.

My manga collection and books likes to disagree. Not with the newest version but if with fact of needing an ipad.

I gave up potential poon so I can keep my ipad. *tear*
 
I would get it now and enjoy the flexibility of having an iPad with you everywhere you go and browse the net at a coffee house.

Think of the iPad this way: iPad 1st Gen = 4th Gen iPhone.

It's not like it's a bad 1st gen product by any means. Apple trained us all on iPhones the last 3 years and now were ready for this new awesome device.

I plan on picking one up very soon. Just not sure if I should get the 32 gig or 64 gig wifi model.

But I am going to buy one and enjoy it now. Can't wait.
 
I heard a rumor that Apple would have the 5th Gen iPad out in 2014. Maybe the OP should wait on that.:D
 
Wait and get some cheap first gen refurbs.

With that attitude we would still be in the stone ages.
 
I will buy the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gens unless a competitor comes along with something better.

Hmm... You're reply confuses me.

I already own an iPad 3G 64GB and will buy every revision after that.

Okay guys, just to set the records straight.

I own an iPad 3G 64GB. Had it since launch.

Then why are you asking if it's OK to wait if you didn't wait??:confused: Isn't that a lot like starting a thread: Should I buy a WiFi or 3G?:D
 
I'm solving the problem by velcroing my MBA and my IPAD together. That way I have them both, and all I have to do every refresh is to just pull one off and give it away ;) :D

I'm pretty sure the thread title is in response to all the threads that have popped up during the last couple of days asking about the next iPad and whether to wait for that or not.
