"Now Playing" app similar to old Bowtie or something else?

I'm back on a Mac for the first time in years, and things have changed a lot. Is there anything out there anymore like the old Bowtie to keep a "now playing" notification on the desktop? I've tried making it happen on the Touch Bar, but I'm not having any luck with that right now.

Any suggestions would be great. Just something I could keep in the lower corner or upper corner would be great.

Assuming you are using Music.App ? - you could just resize the mini player to it's smallest size?

Huh; how about that. Yeah, that looks like an option. It seems strange that there's not more out there, especially since this Touch Bar is something that could be used for something similar.
