According to Apple when a track is in Dolby Atmos it shows this in Now Playing on iOS (both iPhone and iPad). That is happening when playing through iPhone speakers.
This is useful for playlists where there might be a mix of encoding in tracks
However once i connect my AirPods pros it shows lossless or hi res lossless and I cant tell if the track is in Dolby Atmos. There is no indication other than going to the album
Has anyone else experienced this?
Spatial audio set to automatic in settings

Figured it out.
Dolby atmos was not working when set to automatic
I had set spatial audio to on in AirPods pro and off and made no difference
However, when set again to on and hard reset the iPhone and iPad, it all works
Dolby atmos now shows under album artwork if available in preference to lossless etc.
TBH I thought I was listening to spatial audio when I wasn't. Duh

It is pretty amazing for a lot of things. Classical especially so
