now that I got my iPhone yesterday, I think that I am going to be selling my MacBook Pro. I had been thinking about it before I got my iPhone, but after using it for a couple days I can see that it will replace all the functions that I used my laptop for.

Some of you may think I am crazy for doing this but the only thing that I ever use my laptop for is getting on the Internet on the go. Obviously, the ohpnw now takes care of that for me. I'm in love.

If the iPhone suits all your needs insofar as it offers you mobile internet, email, etc, then I can't help but wonder why you bought a MBP instead of and MB in the first place?!

It's tough cause there might be times you need the notebook someday, but if you're comfortable with it, go ahead.

I think I may not travel with my notebook as much now and just take my phone to save the hassle.

Like you, I mainly use my iMac, and my Powerbook only comes out of it's shelf couple times a month. I plan to not get anything better on the notebook side for a long time (knock on wood) because I don't use it much.

Good call...

However, if you only ever used the internet you'll be fine, but you might end up need something really basic, but the iPhone won't have, while out.

At least you have a desktop!

As long as you have another Mac in the house somewhere that you use ;)

Oh yeah don't worry about that. I primarily use my iMac for all of my computer needs anyway. The MacBook Pro was mainly used when I was still at the university.

So I have been thinking about this a lot today and I think I am going to sell the MacBook Pro. I toyed around with the idea of selling my iMac instead
, but I like the display and the size of the HDD better.

Probably going to sell it on Craigslist. Any thoughts on that?
