Now that I own a black MacBook, what do I do?

I just received my black Macbook from apple.com... very nice.

So any suggestions on what to do now?

-Install Windows now that I have an Intel chip?
-Play games?
-Wait for vmware?

Hmm... I know that I will use to for writing books but need some good creative ideas on what a macbook would love to do.

What to Do?

Well, here's one suggestion. I hear that they love to be shown off to others, especially owners of inferior computers. The black case just has that attitude, you know?

Like you, they like to tell stories as well. Pop in your favorite DVD once the MacBook's charged and test the playback quality and battery life. I envy you man, I can't wait to get my BlackBook.

Oh yeah, what kind of books to you write? I'm at film school right now working on movie scripts. It can be pretty tough, but satisfying in the long- run. Have fun with the computer!
 
Take it to coffeehouses. You're sure to get at least one or two comments on the "nice computer".
 
Hit dell users over the head with and proclaim,"I'm Rick James B****"

Then laugh very loudly at them and run off...

What do you like to do?

Do you love music and have a secret desire to create a song for Britney Spears about her need to get panties? Use Garageband. The program is easy to learn with some toying around and can keep you busy for hours.

Like taking pictures or categorizing how many clipped toe nails you've collected by month? iPhoto is a really great way to fulfill most of your photography desires.

Want to be the next sex tape superstar? Edit your movies with iMovie and show them off to mom for good advice.

Like to talk to your World of Warcraft buddies about that awesome moment last night? Adium will help you get the most content possible with its tabbed browsing.

Either way, there are tons of programs, games, and ideas to work with in Mac OS X. Just explore a bit!
 
First things first, test all the software out thats already on there. Then assess what apps you might need and want. You can search this forum for most used apps or a variety purposes. But the reason i say test out the software thats already on the computer is because when i first got my macbook i could not believe how much space was taken up on the hard drive. I took of about 4 apps (imovie, garageband, idvd and iweb) I can always put them back on, but i tested them out and truthfully at this point i dont have any use for them.

But still the best answer is to simply use it.
 
download trial version of Parallels and install windows. then surf the web or do whatever it is ou did with your last computer.
 
Thanks for your advice :) I was wondering if there are any Intel-specific programs that I can run (except Parallels I know about) that I couldn't run on my PowerPC Macs.

LOL...I really meant it as two separate things.....:D Although I have my "work" machine as a parallels install and when I decide to slack I websurf in windows XP...OS X is strictly for when I'm off the clock ;)
