What is going through your mind, pro and con, on the nMP?

I bought the hex core/D500 and upgraded to D700's. Considered Flash and RAM, but decided to go with aftermarket RAM to 64GB later and use existing SSD's in enclosures to augment disk space.

The big surprise was the D700 upgrade, I really didn't think that would be in reach. I know there is an enormous markup for FirePro silicon, which more or less Apple seemed to be going in the direction of. Now it seems that they are actually targeting the nMP as a cost effective workstation computer. So now I'm thrilled to be getting 2x7970's/6GB VRAM effectively - this is my dream computer.

I waited a long time for my configuration but I'm still pissed off at Apple for not updating the thunderbolt display that's ridiculous

Oh well off to Dell

Well, trying to decide between the Quad with 512SSD 16GM D500s, or the stock Hex.... Of course, if I think about it all all, that delivery date is going to slip to March (or April).

Looks like they really did start building them on Wednesday.

Will probably get the stock Hex, but would like the larger SSD.

(Checking Craigslist, and not seeing any 4,1 or 5,1 rigs that are in a good price range where they would be worth it. Most of the ones listed there would need a video card upgrade, which pushes them all to close to $3k or higher..)
