Now this is starting to annoy me - Sleep issue with Mini

Like a little kid who thinks monsters exists in the closet, my practically new Mac Mini doesn't seem to want to stay asleep. When ever I put it asleep is wakes back up a few seconds later. Sometimes putting it back to sleep will work, but just now it came back on after 2 tries.

The screensaver will stay put just fine, but I'm not sure of the sleep issue. The only other this is I have a wireless keyboard + mouse, could something with those be the reason it keep waking back up?

Heavy walking?
 
Are the KB and mouse bluetooth?

If so, that may be your problem. Any mouse movement will wake the machine.

Hm, not sure how to do that. Only button they have is "Connect."

Unless your saying I have to remove the battery every time?

I meant temporarily, as a test. If it still randomly wakes up, then it isn't the mouse.

I use to have to flip my wireless mouse upside down if I wanted it to stay asleep.
 
I use to have similar sleep problems with my mini and it turned out to be my USB hub.

Disconnect the USB mouse keyboard then press the power button once to put it to sleep (is that doesnt work press the power button then the S key)
 
I think it was the mouse.

The keyboard and mouse send a signal to a USB hub or whatever, thats connected to the mini.
 
I have seen that after my iMac DISPLAY goes to sleep, it could be awaken by a small movement of mouse.

If the system is in sleep (that's different than DISPLAY sleep), then it wakes up only with a key press on the keyboard, or hitting the power button.

Don't know if things are different for mini, but are you sure you are talking about system sleep?

Yes, I press the power button on the back of the mini.
