The survey - by NPD - actually shows the following data:

Percentage of households surveyed who own a Mac 12%
Percentage of households surveyed who own a Mac and who also own a Windows PC: 85%

Which means that the percentage of Mac exclusive consumer households in the US is less than 2%.

All this survey does is say "people with more money buy more stuff". Classifying affluent people as "Apple buyers" when over 8 out of 10 of them also own a Windows PC is stupid.

Wow, very interesting point. But i don't think just because you're rich, you spend your money on gadgets. So i think there's still some validity to this study.
