No way. I've got three hard drives formated as NTFS and everything I've ever used has had no sort of data corruption or the hard drive acting abnormal.

Any one filesystem doesn't physically alter the structure of or decrease the integrity of a hard drive. You can safely format a drive as NTFS and then reformat it as anything else without issues.
